United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It sells through field
salespeople, outbound telesales, catalogs, Internet, office products stores in
foreign markets. As of January, 2007, OfficeMax Contract operated 52 distribution centers and 6
customer service and outbound telesales centers, 82 stores in Canada, Hawaii, Australia and
New Zealand.
The OfficeMax, Retail - a retail distributor of office supplies and paper,
print and document services, technology products and solutions and office furniture in the United
States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. As of January, 2007, OfficeMax Retail operated 914
stores in the U.S. and Mexico, 3 distribution centers in the U.S. and 2 distribution centers in Mexico.
The company was founded in 1913 and formerly known as Boise Payette Lumber Company. It changed its
name to Boise Cascade Corporation in 1957. The company changed its name to OfficeMax
